Horseback Riding Camp
Valle Vista Stables holds several horseback riding camps over the course of the year for all ages. If you’ve ever been curious about horses, or have always wanted to ride one, or maybe you like to learn about things in a small group setting – this camp is just for you!
Not only will you learn about basic horse care and how to ride, during the camp you will be hands-on with both. By the end of the horse camp week you will be confident to care for a horse and you’ll feel like you know the basics of horseback riding. Maybe you will choose to continue your horse-riding journey or even decide to lease a horse one day so you can ride a horse of your choice on the days you choose. For some of our participants, after being around the horse and learning more about them for a week, they become enthralled and learn that horses are a true passion that is worth pursuing. The camp is a great way of introducing horses to the young and old – no matter what age you are.
During the horse camp, we also venture out on the nearby trails on Lochside. It’s a great experience that everyone enjoys. You will learn to connect with the horse and with nature around you. If you’re feeling any stress or even sadness, you might notice that the experience lessens the negative feelings and replaces it with positive ones.
